RSS and ejournals

For those of you who have access to online journals using Ingenta Connect, had you noticed that you can get information on what’s in the latest issues of journals via RSS feeds? Just go to the page for the journal and you’ll find the little orange RSS button to subscribe to that feed. Then if you see a new article of interest in one of the journals, all you have to do is click on the link to go to the download page.

I don’t know how many other ejournal providers do this. Swetswise, which is one of my university’s other main providers, has only got as far as email TOC alerts.

You can do it with OUP journals via the “XML RSS feed” link: e.g. the page for the great HWJ.
