I often include links to articles at the FindArticles database. But I hadn’t realised just how many (quite recent, sometimes very recent) articles from scholarly journals (mostly listed in the reference and education section) have been made freely available there. For example, you can get hold of articles published in Past & Present, 1993-98; or Journal of Social History, 1992-2004. It does also include a lot of subscription-required listings. But it’s worth checking out.
